New Visions: Law & Government teacher hosts statewide conference

Rich Bader, Esq., teacher of the New Visions Career Exploration: Law & Government program, hosted a statewide conference on June 13, 2005 in Albany for programs like his from across New York State.

The conference was held at the State Education Building and was attended by instructors and program coordinators of New Visions Law & Government programs from as far away as Buffalo and Long Island. Guest speaker Debra Shayo, director of the New York State Bar Association-New York State Education Department's Law, Youth and Citizenship program, addressed the group about the statewide mock trial competition, the national "We the People" program, and several other initiatives.

Response to the conference was extremely positive. All of the attendees requested it be held again in 2006.
