Medium/Heavy
Duty
Truck
Repair
Medium and heavy duty trucks and
equipment require educated and experienced technicians for their
maintenance and repair. Medium/Heavy Duty Truck Repair students work
on actual trucks and repair and operate diesel engines. Students
also learn electrical/electronic theory, which they apply to
computerized control systems used on today’s trucks, and learn how
to service and maintain a truck’s chassis, steering, suspension and
braking systems.
Automotive Service Excellence
(ASE)-style testing during the Medium/Heavy Duty Truck Repair
program prepares students to pursue certification after graduation.
Upon completion of the program, students may secure employment as
entry-level technicians or advance their education and training.
