According to the American Culinary Federation, "Institutions and programs that earn approval from the ACFFAC show a commitment to excellence to both students and leading employers in the culinary-arts industry, as well as distinguishing themselves from hundreds of other postsecondary schools and secondary programs in the nation and abroad." The Capital Region Career & Technical School serves students from 25 school districts, which include 22 public high schools, private and parochial schools and home-schooled students. We also serve students from neighboring BOCES through cross-contracted enrollment and adult students both individually and through local employers.

We offer 40 programs of study for learners of all abilities, interests, talents and backgrounds and are operated by the Capital Region Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES).

We're not just for high school students . . .
The Practical Nursing program for Adult Students is one of our school's most popular offerings. The part-time, evening program begins November 26. Want to learn more? Download our one-sheet flier featuring the latest info, fees and class calendars for full- and part-time programs or call 862-4709.

Classrooms off-campus
As part of our mission to provide education that empowers students to become lifelong learners, Career & Tech offers a number of programs that are located off campus. Students in the New Visions programs meet for class in downtown Albany, Ellis and St. Peter's hospitals, St. Catherine's Center for Children, Albany, and at the Times Union in Colonie. Theatre Arts Technology students report to Proctors Theatre, Schenectady, while students in the Children & Education Career Academy attend class at Cobleskill-Richmondville High School.
